I did not set out to start a company. I kept building small tools that help people do their work better.
TwitterShots was the first real test. One year in, it nearly reached $1,000 MRR โ proof that a solo builder can ship something people pay for without a team.
SpeedSound came from a story when I read Walter Isaacson's book "Steve Jobs":
Alex, a sixteen-year-old from Michigan, bought Coldplay's "Speed of Sound" on iTunes. This song was the billionth song ever sold on iTunes.
I admire Jobs and Apple's taste; also, Coldplay is my favorite band.
I want to build products with that good taste โ and the sense of Universe, Love, and Freedom you hear in music.
This song links the two together, that is why I named the company SpeedSound.
